The concept of the Stooly designer stool
THEdesigner stoolStooly was born in the mind of a young couple who lived in a small apartment and who wanted to receive their loved ones without pushing the walls of their home. The idea was to create a seat which, on a daily basis, is stored in a simple bookcase and which can be unfolded in two movements when a friend rings the doorbell. THEfolding stoolthus offered a perfect alternative to be able to welcome loved ones without reviewing the entire layout of the living room.
The principle of the stool is simple: it is a honeycomb structure which is inspired by the origami technique to provide a solid and rigid seat.
We declined thedesigner stoolin several formats ranging from 35cm to 50cm. The honeycomb structure, whatever the size of the model chosen, offers ideal load distribution, so you can use the stool for sitting, but also as a bedside table, high table or even a dining table. Each stool comes with a cushion that will allow you to sit comfortably and place objects on it.

Thanks to its honeycomb structure inspired by origami folding methods, the designer stool is particularly robust and can support loads of up to 300 kg! Whatever your body shape, the honeycomb cardboard distributes the weight to provide a stable and comfortable seat.
To create our folding stools, we used cardboard. A material made from natural fibers known for its high recycling rate. If our objective was to offer you new design solutions, we also wanted to offer sustainable and ecological furniture. However, cardboard constitutes an ideal solution to the plastic which is invading the planet and which is less easily recycled.
