THEextendable benchis a seat that you simply unfold to make room for a bench of 3 to 6 meters depending on the model chosen. Felt pads are provided to allow your guests to sit comfortably. The Sympa bench offers the possibility of seating 6 people and the Méga bench 12 people.
The accordion shape of theextendable benchallows you to create the shapes of your choice, you can receive your friends in a friendly atmosphere by creating an I, a U, an L or an S. You can even give it the shape of a coffee table by placing a round top on it in order to place glasses and petit fours! Once the party is over, all you have to do is fold your bench up like an accordion, put it away and enjoy your usual living space. This modular seat can be easily converted from onecardboard benchfrom 3 meters in length to an object measuring 12 cm! Also, no more need to fold your chairs by pinching your fingers and then store them in the cellar, the extendable bench remains at your disposal on a daily basis without cluttering up your spaces.
A solid, stylish and easy-to-use extendable bench
Amodern benchwhich accommodates up to 12 people without ever failing? This is possible thanks to a honeycomb structure which offers foolproof robustness. To imagine the concept ofextendable bench, we were inspired by the origami method: we thus developed cardboard seats following the so-called “honeycomb” structure. Combined with the cardboard we use, this structure offers great resistance, because it provides optimal load distribution. In addition, cardboard is a lightweight material which allows each bench to be moved easily as you wish.
The Stooly concept is also an environmentally friendly and sustainable seat: this is why we chose cardboard, a fiber extracted from wood whose recycling rate is much higher than that of plastic waste.
